In this study, growth performances (diameter and height), bole straightness and survival of the clones of salisetum (Salix clone trial) established in Kırsehir-Kocabey in Central Anatolia were compared.
The clones were compared under the basis of diameter, height, volume (volume in unit area, annual volume increment), survival and bole straightness. According to the 14 years results obtained from the salisetum established near to the Kırşehir province, regarding to the diameter, the clones of 84/24, 84/21 and 84/30 were found the best. The clones of 84/22, 84/24, 84/23, 84/30, 84/21 and 84/14 were the best height performers. Maximum volume production and increment was belong to the clone of 84/24 (280.941 m³/ha and 20.067 m³/ha/year). The evaluations of the clones regarding their bole straightness showed that 7 clones (84/30, 84/28, 84/8, 84/4, 62/8,and 62/9) were very straight. According to the results of statistical analysis made for survival, all the clones showed best adaptation capacity except the clone of 86/6.
